Pool Improvements

The off season has proven to be an active time at the pool.  Our maintenance contractor has been very busy readying the pool for opening day.  The pump room, the heart of the pool system, has seen many improvements by changing out parts due to normal wear and tear and replacing tired hoses that had sprung leaks.

As  you approach the pool, please take note of the fresh look.  The cabana, decks, gutters, and sidewalk were power washed.  The building shines; the decks look brighter.

You’ll notice some “ground under repair” to the right of the entrance where we have been troubleshooting the dampness that has been plaguing our building.  We plan to have a simple drainage system created (trench with landscaper’s tarp, gravel or similar correction).  The down spout will need to be redirected away from the building to keep the water from running back toward the foundation. The “beds” will get a new look with fresh shrubs and the bed will be sloped away from the building to ensure the water drains away from the structure.

Entrance Lighting

The HOA has a continuing project to repair and replace the lighting at the front entrance.

To-date, the lighting for the neighborhood sign has been repaired and is working. Several property owners have mentioned that the new lights cause glare while turning out of the neighborhood.  Solutions to this problem are being considered.

The next item to be repaired will be the lighting in the front beds.  This will include repair to the weatherproof outlets that provide power for seasonal lighting.

Lastly the up-lighting on the trees lining the street will be repaired.  The plan is to convert these lights to low voltage LED lights.  Low voltage will improve safety and give us more flexibility with our lighting options.
