We are pleased to announce and warmly welcome Lorell Gordon as the newest member of the Cottages at Turtle Creek Board of Directors. We are excited to have her join the Board and look forward to the experience and perspective she brings to our community.
Lorell will primarily be serving in support of the Building and Grounds function, helping to ensure our community standards are maintained and our shared spaces continue to be well cared for.
Lorell Gordon is a counselor educator and program coordinator at a regionally located university, drawing on more than two decades of professional experience, including earlier work as a nutritionist and mental health professional. She holds multiple graduate-level degrees and several professional credentials that reflect her commitment to excellence, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
Throughout her career, Lorell has served as an educator, mentor, and program leader and is known for her clarity, fairness, and strong communication. Her work requires interpreting policies, coordinating complex initiatives, and guiding emerging professionals through ethical decision-making and high-stakes responsibilities—skills that translate directly to effective HOA governance.
Lorell also brings leadership experience from her service in the U.S. Naval Reserves, where she held roles requiring accountability, teamwork, and steady decision-making under pressure. She is recognized for her thoughtful approach, her ability to analyze issues from multiple angles, and her commitment to processes that keep communication and decision-making organized and transparent.
As a homeowner who values well-maintained neighborhoods and clear standards, Lorell is dedicated to strengthening communication, supporting fair and consistent practices, and contributing to a positive, engaged, and well-run HOA.
